February 2016 - Tracking the most popular programming languages, databases and software development tools in whoishiring discussion threads.
Python won for the third time in a row and had its largest margin of victory to date. JavaScript and React retain their 2nd and third place finishes respectively. Meanwhile, AWS (Amazon Web Services) cracks the top 5 with its best showing ever and is perhaps the most interesting change near the top. Compare Rails, node.js, PHP and Django
Rail beat Node for the 4th time in the last 5 months, though it was much closer this month. Django and PHP continue along a mostly flat trend around 5%.
Compare AngularJS, Backbone, Ember and React
As one of the leading technologies right now, React may not be able to climb much higher. However, it did separate from Angular as it fell back a bit in February. Looks like Backbone folks are largely shifting to React as well, as Backbone continues a downward trend.
